        Dates and Honey was born out of a simple realization: finding your person shouldn’t feel like a game. Our founder noticed that so many people were struggling to meet someone meaningful — not because they weren’t trying, but because traditional dating apps often missed the mark. Filters didn’t go deep enough, endless swiping felt impersonal, and the gamification of love made real connection harder, not easier.

       That’s why Dates and Honey does things differently. We removed the swipe culture and limited matches to a max of 10 at a time — because when your time and energy are valuable, every match should matter. You have to unmatch before seeing new people, which encourages more intentional, thoughtful dating.

       We’re also the first and only dating app with a Flake Meter, helping you take a more calculated risk on who you give your time to. And since we believe that chemistry often happens best in person, we host and promote curated events where like-minded people can meet naturally — from age-specific gatherings to events based on shared backgrounds, values, or industries. This isn’t about excluding anyone — it’s about helping people connect over what they have in common. Anyone who gets an invite is always welcome to share it with friends, and unless it’s a private party, most events are open to everyone.
